Model Balloons

• ... are replicates of the "real big" balloons. They are usually 8 m tall and they have an average volume of 80 m³. The envelope is made of original balloon fabric, the basket is made from wicker canes and contains the fuel clyinders and control box. The control box and the included technique enables to control the balloon, but only for up and down. Where it flies to decides the wind.
• The art of ballooning - and also mini ballooning - is to use different wind directions at different altitudes to get the model balloon there where you want it to be. In any case the pilot has to follow the balloon on foot.  Depending on the wind speed, that will be easy walking or gallop through fields, countryside, along rivers and sometimes up the mountains or down the valleys. Therefore it is called Modellballonsport...
  

• In theroy the altitude od the model balloons is unlimited. The range of the radio is about 1 km. To train ones ability to control the model it is much more fun to float very close over the fields, the countryside and rivers.

• We offer complete sets of model balloons and we also have a detailed catalog with equipment needed to build a model balloon yourself. Overall model ballooning is a wonderful hobby the begins with building the model continues with a lot of training in frech air in the countryside to control the balloon and to participate on model balloon meetings which are held regulary all over the world giving joy and fun to the pilots and spectators.
